Parts For Trucks 100
Oyster Bed Speedway, PEI
Mother nature was kind and no rain fell for the first of two events to be held at Oyster Bed Speedway. The tracks lower groove seemed to be the better way around which was different than last year.
Wayne laid down the fifth fastest lap in time trials, picked hat number five and qualified for the fifth starting position in the main event. Funny how that happens.
It was an interesting night with many cautions and, while running in fifth Wayne unexpectedly picked up the lead when the four cars in front of him got together bringing out a caution and then being relegated to the rear. He led until a restart with a few laps to go and got loose going in to turn two losing the lead but coming home in the third position.
Next stop, the Lockhart Truck Center 100, Scotia Speedworld, NS July 2nd. Racing starts at 6pm.
See You At The Races!
